You are wrong 2 statements: it does matter where you are in the rebuild & not any team would trade a first for him whether you laugh about it or not. Hawks are building a core through the draft, like championship caliber teams do. When the core is established & they know what their holes are is the time to make the kind of trade(s) outlined above.
