My Ideal Offseason

Description
Hear me out. Getting Reinhart will give the caps top line scoring so we aren't leaning on a almost 40 years old ovi and grabbing Teräväinen will give the caps a legit scary PK with Reinhart and Teräväinen. Signing Roy is like signing a far better Jensen who we can use to get draft picks or in this case move up and trading for Liljegren would give is a really good third pair that would be an upgrade on TVR. We would be an actually contending team while not giving away all too much draft capital.

    The only one I would potentially agree with is the Buffalo trade, they may or may not entertain it. Overpayment to the Leafs. And why not just keep bear and let him settle back in

    $9167 might be one of the closest to cap teams, without being over the cap I have ever seen

    I will say he definitely has like 3rd round selection value so it doesn't help move up in the draft 7 spots. But he is a good 2nnd or 3rd pairing defenseman. To move up 7 spots with Jensen and our first we would most likely need two seconds going the other way on top of the top previously mentioned items.

    But it doesn't make sense for buffalo as they don't need more prospects. They need to either trade the pick for a top pairing d-man or maybe trade the pick to select in another year?

    In the NHL you have to be really bad to be a defenseman making under 5m and have negative value. Jensen is a bit overpaid but was still extremely adequate this year after being genuinely good the last two. Would not be surprised if a team gave up a second for him.

    That being said, he's still not getting you from 17 to 11

    I guess I can't get the sour taste out of my mouth after his terrible game 4 and him being mediocre to unusable throughout different points of the season. RD make GMs stupid though so you never know, someone will want him.
