Agreeing with the utterly ridiculous take that 22-year-old Topi Niemela, who scored 39 points in 68 AHL games and has yet to play in an NHL game let alone make your roster, is a superior prospect to 20-year-old Olen Zellweger, who scored 37 points in 44 AHL games, had a successful debut in the NHL this past season and recorded half a point per game representing Canada in international competition, marks you as a far more clueless homer than anyone in the Anaheim fanbase.

Cam Fowler has a 4 team trade list, Once again Canadian teams aren't on it. it 3 teams in the West. Probably LA, Colorado and another. The only East team is hometown Detroit. once again Fowler isn't waiving for Toronto who has even higher taxes than Southern California.

Comparing rosters is problematic, Anaheim is - at least currently - an awful nhl team, deep in the middle of a total rebuild. Zellwegger wouldn’t make Leafs roster, same as Niemela. Niemela has pedigree - he was top defenceman at world juniors a few years back and had a good year in AHL, his first in North America. Not sure who is the better prospect but I know that the return for Marner proposed here is ridiculously weak and a total non starter

Your logic escapes me - Benoit played 78 games , 19:20 / gm with Ducks last year. And he carved out a place Lon Leafs roster. Are you trying to argue the Ducks roster is equivalent, or even remotely close, to the Leafs’? 43 points and two of the most one sided games in recent memory this past year would beg to differ.
Zellwegger getting games on the Ducks roster plays no role in whether he is a better prospect than Niemela. I don’t know who is better 🤷🏻 but that is a complete non factor

I said pointing out the he played a handful of games on one of the worst teams in the league that was out of the playoffs by game 2 has no bearing on if he is a better prospect than Niemela who plays for the much, much better team that was in a playoff race all year.
Ducks seem to have made a mistake with Benoit who played well; could be a result of change of scenery, playing with better teammates, better coaching, better development staff or the player just maturing
