No chance leafs make that trade; every year, there is always at least one player on this site seriously overrated - for some reason it’s Brady this year 🤷🏻. Marner is the better player - higher production & better defensively - albeit at a higher cap hit. Matthew Tkathuck is a different animal - much better player than his brother - that would be a fair argument .

Ottawa declines the first trade. Calgary accepts the second trade and flips Brannstrom's rights for another late pick. If they can't flip him then they don't qualify him and let him become UFA.
