Tampa declines. Krebs does nothing for Tampa and the 11th pick only helps them now if there was another trade lined up. If it's a prospect, Tampa might consider something around Kulich/Savoie+, or for a roster player either Peterka or Quinn. If not that's fine, as they don't actually need to move Cirelli to keep Stamkos and make the roster work.

Think this is a hard pass for Tampa, market for Cirelli is certainly higher and Krebs adds little to no value, unfortunately.

As unlikely as they are, let’s just say we could pull all these moves off
Where do we get the Salary Cap to pay Byram, Quinn & Peterka next year?
And how do we get room to pay Tuch & Benson the following year?

Even with bridge deals to all the kids (again, unlikely),
There’s still no way to fit them

As exciting as this might be for 1 year
It simply doesn’t work moving forward

Don’t worry, Sabres wouldn’t actually be interested anyways
They need a shut down type, not an offensive oriented defenseman

They'll bridge the guys that are here.

Wanna make space, weegar won't be here, that's not close for him, and I don't think he's just an offensive d anymore, which means he's worth even more. I want the best team possible, so I'm not sentimental about names. Cirelli as a legit two way center could make cozens expendable, provided savoie on an elc is up to the task. That's about 6 million in cap gone. Then, look at every player on this roster making between 2.8 and 4 million, some of those guys are the first ones to go. Ryan Miller said it a long time ago- the middle class in hockey is disappearing. If there's a cap crunch, it's not gonna be dahlin or Thompson that goes.

Why exactly will all those guys get bridged ?
Or more to the point, why would they all AGREE to bridge deals ?

Because they can't leave. I don't think Quinn and Byram have leverage to demand anything. I would be contacting bensons agent asap to get a bridge done, he looked like he was on the verge of breaking out at the end of last year. Peterka has been healthy, and produced, consistently, if I had to pay one of those guys, I'd pay him.

I hear ya, but i think there’s a disconnect here
I’m not asking what YOU would do
I’m talking about what will actually happen

Of course, neither of us have a crystal ball
But the point I’m making is that Adams isn’t gonna back himself into a corner like this
He’s gonna leave Cap Room to sign the kids

And his m/o is to sign young “core” players to long term deals,
not bridge contracts
