The Kings should have no interest in that. They would better re-sign Matt Roy for a comparable amount instead of taking the contract of Ristolainen, who has not performed as good as in Buffalo since joining the Flyers. (But they are probably not signing him to a new deal with Clarke emerging and Spence having a solid last season) I'd give up the first rounder for Chychrun but not for that package

We're not taking back Atkinson with his current contract without massive bribery; there's nowhere for him to play and we need the space for other things. We can welcome him back with open arms with a retirement contract this time next year.

Actually Risto is really good defensively right now, something you can't say about his time in Buffalo. Point production is ofc less, as he ain't playing PP unlike in Buffalo.

Buffalo has to give big $$ deals to Byram, Quinn & Peterka after next season
And then Tuch & Benson the season after that

It just doesn’t leave room for another big contract….
