If KD wants guys like Del Mastro, Kaiser, and Allan, maybe even Korchinski, down in the AHL for another year or so, I wouldn't mind taking on a contract like Chiarot's. He may be a cap dump to a team like DET with playoff aspirations, but to a rebuilding team, he could be a great baseline for roster competition and setting the bar for our young LD's. He may be overpaid but he is definitely better than Jack Johnson, Tinordi, and Megna, no offense to them.
