This solves nothing. Burns and Staal Trade protection block both. Blake and Nadeau aren’t nhl ready, Jarvis gets more than 5 mil at any length, Wild say no to that trade.

Hartman probably shuts down this trade due to his NMC! Guerin gave him a 4 years extension with radioactive NMC. He has a full NMC his 1st year, 15 team NMC following years I believe.

Burns has a 3 team trade list, so he can be dumped on any of those. Staal can be bought out because he sucks, Nadeau is 100% NHL ready, Blake might not be but FUS can slide in instead since he almost made the roster THIS year. Jarvis isnt getting more than 5 on a bridge, he's had 1 season above 45 points, that's not worth more than 5. That's a good trade for the wild IMO, but let's wait for a Wild fan

You don't think he'd waive for one of the best teams in the NHL?

Steal isn't waiving from a top contender in CAR to move for the end of his career with a rebuilder in PIT.

Burns will pick three teams that have no chance at trading for him. How often do players waive from a contender at the end of their careers? Almost never for a reason, they don't want to leave and that will greatly restrict options.

He already picked his 3 teams for this year, so the Canes can already move him. The list would be updated on July 1st, so he can't just "pick teams" now. Carolina already know where he could go

He’s not waiving after just signing a 4 years extension and not playing even. 1 game! Doubt Guerin is going to trade him for a player like Nevas anyway who wants to get paid. Wild aren’t look for a winger for one to two years.

No chance Leafs want 39 year old, $5M+ Burns; and less than no chance we give up Liljegren + a 3rd 😂. I’d say you need help but not the first time you’ve tried to 🤡 Leaf fans; your parents must be proud 👍

You say that like he wouldn't become the best RD you've had in two decades. Toronto need someone like him, why not have him? He's playing at a high enough level and they're probably moving Lily anyway

Keep convincing yourself of whatever you want 🤷🏻; zero chance it’ll happen and zero chance the Leafs want a 39-40 year old making $5M+ but you do you 👏

Who cares about the age of a player if he's still playing well when it comes to trying to win the cup... or are you admitting the Leafs aren't serious about trying to compete? Toronto aren't rebuilding, it doesn't matter if he's 30, 35, or 40. If he's good enough, he's good enough. Toronto need a guy like him because their defense has STUNK forever

So since you’re trying to trade him are you admitting the Canes aren’t serious about trying to compete?

Nope, just have 3 guys that can do what he does better because Carolina's defense isn't utter garbage... you want him in Vancouver? Your D core isn't much better than Toronto's

Our D core this season is much better than Toronto’s, but we do only have 2 locked in everyday guys signed next year. If Hronek is moved I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to adding Burns. If we re-sign Hronek we probably look for a different type of dman than Burns

The issue for Burns in Carolina is that Morrow is just better. If Nikishin comes across, there's no need for that PPQB, making him surplus. It's why Carolina can afford to move him and not light things on fire

Is Nikishin expected to come to North America next season? I thought he had another year in the KHL

He's under contract in the KHL, but Waddell said today he's not sure. Maybe? There are rumors of SKA letting one of their D guys terminate their contract too

Correct and Burns will have selected three teams that will never trade for him. Bruins, Avs, Kings. There now trade him.

the only way Staal is coming back to PIT is on a 1 day, contract. But I doubt they retire his number. Although his time in PIT was probably the height of his entire career. He was really good as a 3C.
