I don’t disagree, i do t really care what team he goes to. Things haven’t worked out for him and I think a change of scenery would do him well.

You know I had a thought, he might do well going back to Toronto. Maybe him, Garland, and Hoglander for a 2024 1st? Toronto needs depth. I don’t think Van is going to keep Lindholm so maybe they flip that for a true 3rd line C?

Devils are one of the deepest teams at RD no need for Hronek

Doesn’t make sense for us to move Garland or Hoglander.

Garland was one of our best forwards this year. He’s great offensively, great defensively, and an elite play driver.

And Hoglander provides cheap scoring depth. Had 24 goals this season, all at 5v5 which put him top 10 in the league in 5v5 scoring. Having him at 1.1M next season will be big

I’d be fine moving Mikheyev, even paying a bit to dump him if necessary, but moving Garland and Hoglander for futures doesn’t make sense for us

EP40 extension is going to be difficult to navigate considering the buyout of OEL is still on the books. They need to avoid what Toronto fell victim to and that is not moving contracts that will cause headache in trying to retain key players. Garland is decent but can be replaced and should with cheaper options.

Garland is well worth his contract. Canucks can manage the cap fairly easy while keeping him. The only really problematic contract is Mikheyev’s

I don’t know about that. Boeser is playing himself into at least 9 to 10 mil per. Hronek is also not going to be cheap either.

I doubt Boeser will get in that 9-10 range. Closer to 7-8M. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he takes a more team friendly deal tbh

Hronek if he’s asking for too much will be moved

Garland was one of our most important forwards all season long. We’d use that money to sign someone and hope they’d be as good as he was. No reason to take that risk

In 25-26 and 26-27 seasons OEL’s buyout is going to cost 4 mil per. It is going to be difficult to sign guys back. We can agree to disagree but I expect some moves this summer from Van to alleviate the cap crunch that is coming.

Toronto wouldn't have the cap space for that.
