For that price Ehlers won't work. There's nothing there that is even slightly interesting for Winnipeg.

Start with Pulock and build a deal around him.

Ehlers and Pionk for Pulock and Pageau...adds 800k for your cap but gives you a top 6 winger vs a bottom 6 player

As others have mentioned, getting Ehlers would have to be a hockey trade. We can't keep giving up picks and prospects. Our prospect group is too barren and our cap situation isn't good enough to just get a guy. It's better to retool with Winnipeg rather than buy from them.

Would love this trade for the Isles and I think it’s a pretty fair deal overall. The only thing that could stop it are the NTC’s but maybe Pulock decides it’s for the best
