That’s a bad trade for the Blues. Kampf and Timmons have no place on the Blues roster and only cloud the cap situation unnecessarily. Secondly, they are moving draft capital out, not something they can at this point as they try to build their prospect pool. Thirdly, adding Marner who would then need to be flipped at the deadline because the Blues will never be able to resign him nor do I think Armstrong would.

That's a no for the blues. We are not going to give Marner the contracts he wants so there is no reason to trade for him with only 1 year left before UFA
