Serious question, why do the Kings continue to play 1-3-1? I feel like its better suited for teams that doesn't have star power or can't produce high speed/attack offense. With Byfield, Kempe, Fiala and just speedier players like Moore and Laferriere, I think the Kings can move away from 1-3-1 and play a more high-tempo game.

The real nightmare was spending all that money and wasting assets on PLD. They need a new GM and coach to do a major retool because that roster clearly isn't going anywhere. Trade Danault to get some good assets back and find a coach that will get a lot more out of PLD (if that is even possible); would be great if you could cancel a contract for fraud because PLD is nothing like he believes he is or his salary would indicate. Give him the 2C spot that he thinks he deserves and give it two years; make him agree that if he can't even be a 50 point player within that timeframe, he has to retire and give up the rest of his salary (yes, I know this won't happen but it would serve him right; so far, he's made all the demands so give him everything he asked for and, when he fails, he has to meet someone else's demand that he and his contract go away).
