Kyrou is probably not worth his $8.125M cap hit as of right now but any trade the Blues make has to be more than a 3LHD and a mid first. Just not enough value to move a player of Kyrou’s caliber. I feel something around Newhook or Dach++ could get it done.

Make absolutely no sense for Mtl to move Newhook or Dach. Mtl are looking to add offense not substract talent on nice contract.

Yeah pretty much meant another piece of value not exactly anything major just something STL values to push the trade across the line like a pick or prospect.

I agree there, just think anything else MTL has to offer wouldn’t entice STL. They are trying to get better and rebuild quickly.

Mtl had probably one of the three best defensive prospects pool in the league and St Louis probably one of the worst with a aging dcore. There definitely something that could be work here.

If MTL would offer Hutson, Reinbacher, or Mailloux I think for sure there is a deal to be made there. I just assume they wouldn't deal those guys. I don't mind MTL trying to make a futures offer of Mesar + Beck + 1st or something along those lines. Adding Kyrou to the Habs next year with all the young talent coming up would put them in a good position to pursue the playoffs and get Josh Anderson out of the lineup certainly helps their odds here too lol.

Hutson is off the table for sure, Mailloux or Reinbacher might become assets at some point especially if we draft another defensive players this upcoming draft. Kyrou would certainly be a nice addition for the Habs.
