5OA
A top 4 dman
And a overpaid 3rd liner but will still score you 15 goals

Doesn’t seem that bad to me.

5OA could get you a key player for Toronto’s future, that will be on an ELC and allow you to spread your cap

Don't see why Habs would do this. But it would be funny if they would meet in the playoffs and Marner scored in a game 7 to send out the Leafs of the playoffs lol

It's a weak draft and TO is win now. You know this but everyone wants Marner for a bargain.

Yeah, Marner showing up in a big game is a pretty laughable suggestion!

He was the second maybe third biggest reason they actually got out of round 1 last year
1) Bunting deliberate injury to Cernak.
2) Mathews
3 )Marner

Cayden Lindstrom most likely falls to 5.

He’s a big power forward thag would give you the grit you need probably plays 1 more year of junior but he’d be a stud 2C with nylander or even on matthews LW.

Moving Marner and spreading the wealth on depth is how you will win.
Lots of solid UFA dmen Toronto could target with that money and matheson takes a lot of pressure off Reilly to produce points from the defence

Habs pass
They can sign MM as UFA after next season (but do they really want a playoff choker)

Career PPG drops from 1.11 in the regular season to .90 in post season. If you exclude the one playoff that he was actually worth two ****s, it's .81.

Lol you’re not in win now mode until you find a Dman like slavin. Drafting and developing such as this scenario is the only way

Considering it's more difficult to score in the playoffs because
A) referees don't call nearly everything they do during the regular season.
B) Teams are better than in the regular season. You don't get the Chicago's, Detroit's, Anaheims

Then may as well blow up the whole team. Drafting and developing a player of Alvin's level will take 3-4 years and Matthews the core will be over 30. Is anyone going to trade a 25-27 year old Slavin for Marner? I doubt it, so what? Just scrap it all eh? I know the Ottawa fans on here are praying for that. But it's dumb. Focus on hoping your own team figures things out instead of hoping the Leafs fail.

Habs don't touch this. Marner would be their best player in forever but he doesn't fit the time line and needs a new contract. Pass

McDavid RS - 1.52 PPG
McDavid PO - 1.60 PPG

Draisaitl RS - 1.18 PPG
Draisaitl PO - 1.60 PPG

Point RS - .95 PPG
Point PO - 1.01 PPG

MacKinnon RS - 1.14 PPG
MacKinnon PO - 1.32 PPG

Weird.

One of the ones I noticed who does fall off in the playoffs is Panarin... Who coincidentally has also drawn criticism in the past for not showing up when it matters.
