Well I don’t think necas is worth a top 10 pick . Maybe he’s worth like a 14th pick + 2nd rounder. But 23 + Minten probably comes close

Marner doesn't make sense for CGY. Even with extension. He will make to much for it to make sense for CGY. Plus Andersson is more important to the team than Marner ever would be

Marner is not going to Calgary.

Calgary declines but easily beats that offer for Necas. Dallas 1st + something Carolina needs/wants. Something with at least comparable value to Minten but without having to take a Jarnkrok. We have the cap space to extend Necas without sending an NHL salary back if that's what Carolina wants.

Flames aren't trading for Marner and he isn't waiving to Calgary

I absolutely love Necas but Canes fans talk like hes a 21 year old that is on track to be a PPG. He what he is at this point and they aint getting the same quality player if they deal him but instead a reset with cap space and picks/prospects as a complement, you know, like every other time a team is squeezed.
That's how the salary cap system is supposed to keep parity.
