The league is trending to be all about depth when you have expansion looming, again! This league's talent will be so water'd down that I'm worried that McDrai nevers wins a Cup unless they do it this year or the next year. Vegas put up the blue print in 2016-17 and its only gotten to be more and more of a reality.

Yup. Star talents gets you to the post season but depth, defense, and goaltending gets you through the playoffs. Any cup winners will tell you that

Enjoy signing and trading for guys like Denis Malgin, Nic Petan, Alex Kerfoot, Tyson NoBarries, Pierre Engvall, Ilya Mikheyev, Justin Holl, Cody Ceci, Martin Marincin, Victor Mete, Jack Campbell, Petr Mrzek, and the list goes on. We are already seeing it with Ryan Graves and washed up Erik Karlsson

Lol, you made like 100 posts saying the leafs should sign graves

Enjoy your inevitable playoff exit, and enjoy your high blood pressure over a man that isn’t employed by your team. Bizarre.

Nah, what's embarrassing is wanting to sign graves like you did, or accari. You were drooling over em bith and once dubas signed them you flipped your script.
Sad, also embarassing.

You forgot luck in the finals. Gretzky said it best that there are 3 seasons in the NHL.

Canes winning that Cup in 2006 was solely because the Sabres had 3 healthy defenders left and they faced the Oilers 3rd string goalie. The most MID team to ever win a Cup! And, I think its affected their philosophy until this past TDL where they finally traded for a difference maker UFA in Guentzel.

He's a habs fan, on his 5th or 6th account. His bit before treliving was hired was the exact same thing only with lou lamoriello

We somehow got a first for Sandin and he was our 3rd pairing LD

Sandin was a year younger than Liljegren is now, had an extra year of term, and was more highly regarded around the league. Liljegren immediately needing a new contract buffers some of his value.

Have you read Steve Simmons new article? Absolutely loved it

You are definitely the exact demographic Simmons write for. He's the worst writer in the league. The leafs don't even like having him at news conferences. He's a hack

or that Steve Simmons call it as he sees it. Could I ask what has Marner done in game 1 and game 2 that doesn't warrant this narrative?

Last time I checked, while making $10.9M, he should have more than 0G, 0A, and 0P in 2 playoff games played. He wants all the fame, attention, glory, endorsements during the regular season but the moment the playoffs happen, he turns into a shrivelled shrimp. Most pathetic and embarrassing player I have seen in this day and age

and I don't blame them, this is just a Leafs fan talking about what kind of return I would love to have for Marner (letting him walk to FA also works). If I'm a Philly fan, I would never trade a heart and sole player in TK for MM

TK is amazing.
The Oilers need to do everything to get this kid in the offseason if it's even a possibility that he can be moved and the Flyers can take on cap which they have shown to be willing with Briere at the helm.

TK with Draisaitl and Nugent Hopkins then Hyman with Mcdavid and Holloway. Jesus Christ. Give the Flyers the Oilers next 2 1sts, Ceci, Broberg and Bourgault. Just give everything in the cupboard and they have multiple Cups in the bag as long as Mcdrai take somewhat of a discount in 2025 and beyond. Just dont hand out contracts like the Leafs and they are Golden!

This guy is literally a giant troll pretending to be a leafs fan, I wouldnt take anything he says as agreement with you, he really just wants to rile up leafs fans with terrible trades while praising other teams guys that he read about having grit on hfboards

anyone who thinks he was dodging a hit and not running a play that guys like Mcdavid, Kucherov, Draisatil, Mackinnon and even Konecny do all the time really should study the game a little harder.

You are just hilarious. I honestly don't even know what your aim is here. The leafs lose game one and you come out attacking Dubas of all people. They win game 2 and Marner hate follows. I can't wait for him to have a decent game and hear what stupid crap you have to say.

Dodged a hit, soft and still plays like he has under a Kyle Dubas philosophy
