Lindstrom and Catton aren't NHL ready.

Maybe add a 3rd round pick in the CGY trade.

The Kakko trade looks fair, but I don't see NYR doing that.

I can't imagine Calgary exchanging the ninth overall pick in this year's draft for the heavily conditioned pick in the 2025 draft just to get Justin Barron. I think that the Flames would just take Berkly Catton themselves.

To put it another way, that trade would be a big bet by the Calgary GM that the Flames would do even worse next season than they did this year.

That Calgary trade isn't even slightly realistic, maybe vancouvers first this year.

Doubt we see a MTL NYR trade until Gorton and/or Drury are no longer running their respective teams

Calgary won't be trading this year's pick unless it's to move up at the draft or to acquire a very good young player.

After CGY trades Markstrom this summer they are practically guaranteed to end up in the top 10 for the 2025 draft class and MTL will be getting the FLA 1st. Why would we ever trade the 9th OA pick to secure FLA's 1st next year for Justine Barron???
