That Kampf contract is about half a million too much for two years too long. Looks like your GM was playing checkers while every other GM was playing chess. Chicago declines. There's no room for him in the bottom six.

So according to Puckpedia’s salary cap relief calculator it would cost a late 1st round pick to move Kämpf’s 3 x $2.4m contract. Since he is not totally useless I think Leaf’s could get a bit of a discount on that price so I would offer the following if I was Davidson:

To Chicago: either Toronto’s 2024 or 2026 1st round pick with top 10 protection (Toronto’s choice) and Kämpf.

To Toronto: they get their own 2026 2nd round pick back.

Nah, give them the VAN 2nd this year and keep the 26 pick.
