If Tavaras agrees to waive, the Hawks probably accept. But Tavaras will be playing 2C in Chicago. He won't get bought out.

Sure, that would work if JT can play on the wing. Bot sure he ever has. Although having him center a line w/ Reichel on LW and maybe Nazar (if he signs) on RW would make for a pretty good top 6 next season.

I mean bias aside he is still a good player. Plus can never have to many mentors for Bedard

Tavares has played wing for a couple short stretches with the Leafs, but always finds himself back at centre.

His finishing ability has undeniably regressed, but he's still a monster along the boards who elevates the players around him.
