That would be amazing. CM has arbitration tho; I don't think GMCM wants to play with fire after trading away Bo Byram. A lot will depend on his performance in the playoffs. Ultimately that benefits the Avs.

I was playing around with the idea of us bringing in brodie for 3rd pairing if JJ is done. Obviously with landy coming back that makes it much harder to do but maybe he takes a deal to win a cup being 34 next season. He's eating 20 mins a night and can play both sides. He won't have to eat that much here but i think he's capable to step up on either side when we get injuries and has the experience to play on malinskis left side.

I like a lot of your thinking but would be worried about the 3c position. I’d rather not sign jost and only have 2 scratches but get a better option at 3c. Trenin? Or the next guy looking to revive his career.

A 4 of duhaime Wagner and loc would be nice to have.
