Baron value can be a high 2nd round pick. He is still young, and Philly will gonna need somes young RD for the next few years behind Drysdale.

interesting idea but mtl already has two retention spots used next year, i dont think they intend to waste the third on anderson. If it can work without retention maybe.

No retention on Josh Anderson and since we're not competing next year for the cup I would see Montreal using Cam next year till trade deadline with retention for a low pick.

Some tweaks to the picks since Justin Barron is involved but I like the general idea

It would be easier to just buyout Atkinson, since his buyout is pretty cheap and then trade a 2nd to get Barron.

What about buyout Johansen instead of him ? Better cap strategy for the Flyers.

That's I did it, and you can't go over 3 buyout, and the Flyers already have DeAngelo and Bryzgalov in their list.

Why not buy out both? They would cost 3.7 mil together in the 1st year and in the 2nd year 3.1 which isn't that expensive. It would also be cheaper than having Andersson's 5 mil contract for 3 years.

The Flyers CAN'T buyout both of them, because the Flyers can just buyout a maximum of THREE contracts and they already buyout two contracts in that (DeAngelo and Bryzgalov).

IF this is it, why even buyout Johansen? Can just bury him to AHL and add 1,5M to cap, no problem. Or retain 50% to get some new pucks for practices, if Torts is having those in there.

Send us another small contract but drop the retention and the Habs consider.

Torts will gonna request to Briere to buyout him OR Johansen will gonna request a trade away, but I don't see Briere trading a 2nd round pick to get rid of Johansen.

I don't know where it states that you can't have more than 3 buyouts at the same time. The only restriction I can find is with how many you can buyout in one year.

Briere can just retain 50% of Johansen's contract which won't require a 2nd rounder to dump.

I don't get why Torts would request to buy him out. Again, just bury him to AHL. Torts doesn't really have to see him. And if he can't play there then he's going to LTIR, just like now. There is still the all time famous FC who he can be traded to if Johansen asks for the trade. Someone will bite.

Training camp.

I think that's the main reason of why the Flyers we will gonna get rid of him : he want to play in the NHL, not in the AHL.

I'm aware I might repeat myself, but still, why would Torts require his buyout? Even in the training camp, he can just cut Johansen after first scrimmage if he feels so, and then send him to AHL. And if he can't play there then he's going to LTIR, just like now. Or they can look for a trade for future considerations if they can't get anything in return. Someone will bite. And if he wants to play in NHL instead of AHL, he's gonna prove that he's worth it. It's not a freaking kindergarten.

But let's just make it more simple because we don't want Anderson. Just Barron for 2nd? You can choose which 2nd you want. CBJ 2nd this year ain't an option because we don't have it but do have -25 instead.
