The Islanders will have to likely pay multiple firsts to get out of the Lee and Mayfield contracts. Lou masterclasses right there. I think maybe if you take out Brannstrom and #7, then add some more value elsewhere, the Sens may consider it.

Take out Brännstrom and the 2024 1st round pick #7 and replace with future considerations and then add in a 2025 first round pick going to Ottawa.

Not the biggest fan of Palmieri, so i would decline. I believe there are better options out there.

reading the description I didn't know what to expect, so I went from "this is a weird trade for OTT" to "we have lost all sense of control" after reading the VAN trade

Lee and Mayfield are cap dumps so you don't move up in the draft by adding them, you move down

At 3.5 million dollars Lee is 100% worth a 1st round pick, he's a 30 goal scorer who brings physicality and leadership to the lineup. At 7 million it'll take multiple 1st round picks to dump him but at 3.5 he is a positive asset. Brannstromm and Mayfield aren't needed but I just assumed if the Sens were going this route of adding veteran presence they would want to add more stability to that right side behind guys like Chychrun. The price to move up 5 spots in the draft from that position is a 2nd, Lee is worth a late 1st at 3.5 imo, I'm happy to take Mayfield and Brannstromm out if it makes it easier

Explanation of the Sens trade here:
At 3.5 million dollars Lee is 100% worth a 1st round pick, he's a 30 goal scorer who brings physicality and leadership to the lineup. At 7 million it'll take multiple 1st round picks to dump him but at 3.5 he is a positive asset. Nelson trade:

Nelson is a 35 goal 70 point player signed to 6 million dollars. That's worth at least almost two 1st rounders, Podz has not proven much at the NHL level sadly, he doesn't have much room to grow in the Canucks system and once JL comes over from the Swedish league it'll essentially be over for him. He's worth a late 2nd at most, Pettersson is quite good I'll admit but if the Canucks hold him that dearly I understand. That's still a package of Podz, 25'1st and 25'3rd which feels like exact value for Nelson
