You think a bunch of scraps gets you Necas?
He would probably only go for a U23 upgrade

We assume that by "Anaheim," you mean "Any Team" because the last thing the Ducks need is a sixth left defenseman.

Much as I'd love to add Necas, Carolina and Detroit probably aren't great trade partners.

Detroit's loaded with prospects and decent pick position. Carolina is trying to win now.

That's definitely not scraps and its not enough but it's not "not even close". I'd expect trade for Necas to look like:
'24 1st (top 10 protected)
Kasper/Danielson
Wallinder/Johansson

The Holl part is what Carolina doesn't go for.

No, even that doesn't get it done. This isn't close. Carolina are going to want a top 6 player back for Necas. From Detroit, that's probably Cat, Raymond or Larkin. It's probably Necas + for Larkin, and I doubt Detroit wants to part with either of the other two, so there is no deal to be made here. Futures doesn't even open the conversation from a Carolina standpoint

Well that's just nonsense. I agree CAR would want a top 6 forward but next years first, a top C prospect that can play within 2 years and a guy like Berg is certainly in the ballpark.

Necas for Larkin is not only negative value-wise but ridiculous from a DET standpoint. For Raymond CAR would add. Cat for Necas straight up is fine but that's kind of a lateral deal.

Detroit add to both Cat and Raymond for Necas, Larkin's the only one work adding to from a Carolina perspective. As I said, there's no deal to be made here. Carolina already have guys like Blake and Nadeau in the system that project to be great long term NHL players that can play center, Nadeau could even be in the NHL before Kasper. With 23 year old Kotkaniemi and Drury already on the roster, there's no need for ANOTHER guy like that, especially when Carolina are in win now mode. Once again, Detroit do not have the assets to make a worthwhile Necas trade for both sides

The first and Kasper/Danielson combined is a no-go. I'd do one and sub the other out for something smaller.

This is the most delusional post on this website. Ever. Dude topped 52 points once in his career and he continues to play stupid defense. Keep him.

"Combined" referenced one of those with the 1st. I assumed you realized "Kasper/Danielson" meant one or the other considering you said the same thing.

Oh ya, the 1st and one of Kasper/Danielson. I'd do that for Necas, no problem. Obviously wouldn't do 1st and both.

I'd do the 1st and Berg and Wallinder as well, no problem.

Uhh... he had 3 60+ point pace seasons, may get there again this year, and put 70 up last year. If the pandemic didn't force a 56 game season, Necas is a 3 time 60 point winger... not the point, I'd much rather keep him than take futures like this for him

Detroit adds for Cat but you're living on another planet if you think they're adding for Raymond.

Raymond just turned 22 and is already outscoring Necas on a team that isn't even closely as talented.

If we were in a different place in the rebuild, I'd do it.

But at this point, wingers aren't really an area of need. We absolutely need one (Hopefully both) of Kasper/Danielson to pan out as a high end 2C. If we trade one and the other doesn't pan out, we're back to square one of ****ty center depth behind Larkin with nothing in the pipeline.

Then add in how rancid our RHD is behind Seider, with ASP as the only real RHD in the system with any potential, and he's still 2+ years out. If we're gonna trade a 1st and Berggren/Wallinder, I'd rather do it for a RHD upgrade. I think we need that long before we need Necas when we already have Raymond, Debrincat, and hopefully Kane.

Why does everyone jump to team? Raymond has a better quality of teammate, unless you want to say Kuznetsov, Kotkaniemi and Tervaianen are as good as Cat and Larkin... Necas doesn't get top PP time because he's the one that has to bring the puck in on the second unit since he is an ELITE zone entry man. Necas is also HANDS DOWN the better skater between him and Raymond, which is much more praising of Necas than it is a shot at Raymond because he's not bad himself. You're adding to Raymond for Necas. It's not a lot, but consider Necas does this while also playing in a system that strangles offensive talent.

Uh, uh, uh he woulda, he shoulda, he coulda. Give me a break. He's not worth anything near what you're claiming. Hell, Eichel didn't get as much as you're talking about. Temper your silly expectations or be hilariously disappointed.

I'm a big Necas fan, but Necas plays on a much better team, with better linemates and much better defensemen. Raymond doesn't play with Larkin all the time (see Compher), and definitely doesn't play with Cat (see Kane).

Just turned 22 and already outscoring Necas. Raymond + for Necas would be an L for Detroit.
