The value is more than fair but Montreal probably declines.

Value isn't anywhere near fair, this is like us offering Roy + 2 2nds + Suzuki for prime Crosby. It's so far off base that it's beyond ridiculous, btw I am not comparing Suzuki to Crosby just giving an example of the ridiculousness.

You think Suzuki is a comparable to prime Crosby. Oh my god, Did your entire fanbase hit the drugs this morning? Suzuki is a good 2C. Crosby is a top 10 player ever. Stop it.

Marty Necas is a top 6 player. That’s not something you get offered very often. Drury is a question mark but he’s still valuable. The only area where you may have a decent argument could be turning those pair of 2nds into a 2025 1st or maybe one of their better prospects like Morrow or Blake.

He'll only sign for teams that want to play him down the middle. That's been a major issue in the past, and was something they talked about in his last contract discussion. He can play center, but Rod is too stubborn to admit he made a mistake forcing Necas to the wing. That's the only reason. If you do not watch Necas, because you have to hear other peoples opinions on him, you need to stop trying to tell me that he isn't a center when I haven't missed a Canes game in 15 years

Then why have management t not fired RBA if he chooses to play a downgraded roster over one that gives his team the biggest advantage? Answer, because even management do not see Necas as a C, just the fans do. You are the weakest link, goodbye!

They can't! Why do you think Rod doesn't have an extension with his contract expiring this year? They can't fire him because of what he did as a player. That's a rod they made for their own backside. Waddell STILL refers to Necas as a center in press conferences! Management CLEARLY see him as a center, but Rod doesn't. Goodbye!

No, it's the voice of a head coach who cannot manage this roster properly. Trust me, Necas would be fine at 2C. Or alternatively, give Jarvis the 2C spot... the Kuznetsov trade was purely because Rod is too stubborn for his own good

''Trust me'' is not the most compelling argument, you have to get that right.

Okay, so watch Necas. Necas is a natural center, and you can see it when he plays. He's usually in Kuznetsov's pocket because muscle memory takes over. Canes don't play until Thursday against Boston, so I said trust, but if you want, go and watch older games. You'll see it.

It would cost the equivalent of Aho, would you trade Aho for Necas + a late 2025 1st?

Montreal do not have the assets in the organization to acquire Aho

Don't tell him that Aho's significantly better, how dare you ruin his narrative!
