Pesce is part of a special group of vastly overrated players on this site . Nowhere near worth $6M; no interest given his age, skill set and likely contract - much better options for the Leafs imo

Well the team kampf was being traded to was random. The point of the thread was to see if Pesce could fit in to the lineup while still building a decent roster.

It'd be nice if we could get pesce cheaper and keep jarnkrok or kampf but free agency for big top 4 right handed d might be expensive. Even if we overpay our team will be much better

Considering Pesce is likely to get around 6.5-7.25mil on the open market, that’s the number that likely gets negotiations started with him. A rather big problem that Toronto would encounter, would be that Pesce has raised objections to being traded to Canadian teams in the past, so his overall willingness to sign with a Canadian team is probably quite low.
