***Only if Pittsburgh picks is lower than 12th overall. (13th onwards) and Winnipeg pick is around 22-24 overall

Habs need top 6 talent and neeed to clear room on D.

SJ needs help everywhere. Drop 10ish spots in draft but pick up picks, players

Habs do this to pick Iginla if he’s still on the board at that spot.

Leave draft with one of Lindstrom, Catton, Eiserman or Demidov and Iginla!!

Just because of how weak they are on D, i could see them doing this. But with the #12, they could just take Yakemchuk or Buium. I still would take the offer

Barron
Struble
Kiviharju ( WPG 1ST )
2nd (?)

For Yakemchuk or Buium

We could do nothing and get that.
More D are ranked top 50 now then any Draft class since 2003
It was regarded as one of the most stacked drafts of all time

So top two you got
1. Cellebrini
2. Levushunov

Thats it and after that its situational as Analysts dont agree on D Rankings.
Many have Dickinson top 3, some have him ahead of Levushunov to but they're the minority.
Same with 6'7 Mobile KHL RD regarded as the next Chara but again can skate. He's a 17 year old KHL stand out and some think he should be top 3.
Even Buiuum has people who think he should be in the mix but they're in the minority.
The only D everyone seems to mostly agree on is Levushunov #2 and Yakemchuk #10 around

As such guys like Lidstrom could fall to 4 or 5
Pushing a Eiserman,Helenus or Catton down further too and thats all before we even talk about Demidov or Iginla.
It helps that there's Offensive Dmen , Defensive Dmen, Special Teams Dmen of all sorts of size's with Righty's and Lefty's

Even Cole Hutson brother of Lane Hutson set to take his Brother role on his Brothers team when he signs with MTL next month
He's pretty high Quality ranked 20th-35th OA mostly due to his size like his brother was small at the draft but the skill is there and off the charts

MTL wants Forwards?
Well this is the year to target 1st round picks at the expense of other draft picks down the road.
I'd be making a deal with SEA who has a set expected timeline for a Stanley Cup just like Vegas and are not building via the draft as much as other teams as Rebuilding or Retooling isnt an option really.
For them they have to Adjust and find a way to Compete ASAP under the cap and MTL could use that as leverage to get them to trade their 8th OA pick ,10th OA of BUF or NYI 13th OA

Tough sell but if MTL was going to overpay for draft capital i think it'd be this year given Hughes wants us competing for a playoff spot next year.
Question becomes what do those 3 teams need to consider giving up a top 15 pick this year?
For Seattle i'd think Barron , WPG's 1st and Beck addresses their needs pretty well (but im not a SEA fan so who knows)

Even if none of that happens
I'd keep our top 10 pick at the very least.

From the sharks pool perspective we only need a top pair d man, an elite forward, and a goalie prospect. So i would rather keep the pick that has the best chance at turning into an elite piece we are missing from our pool.

What’s the “consensus” from sharks fans this year?

If they don’t pick 1st and pick Celebrini, is the biggest need on D or F? What do sharks fans want?

I think a lot of us are looking for Levshunov, who is the highest upside D in the draft or Lindstrom although he seems to have fallen off. With the penguins pick a lot of people are hoping for Catton Helenius Parekh or Buium.

SJ traded no 11th to ARZ for no 27th, 34th and 45th.

For PIT 2024 1st (between 9-11th), it would make sense to ask for WPG 2024 1st (24-28th), MTL 2025 2nd (38-48th) and Struble (drafted 46th).

Your offer is too high and I highly doubt SJ would be interested in it. Now, if Pittsburgh keep their pick, it would make sens for them to get a cheap nhl ready defenceman.

Yes and No
Levushuov is the most NHL Ready D today but Silayev and Dickinson are also ranked as often in that top 3 and top 5, that said he's more oven then not #2 ranked.
Levshunov to me is Doughty , Silayev is Hedman and Dickinson is M.Reilly in terms of direction they'll all grow towards.
Not saying they'll mirror them exactly just that similar styles and similar projections but depending on who you ask about the 3 i compared them too
There's going to be debate about which of the 3 are truly the best.

I think it comes down to preference on lefties or righties and if you need LD more then RD then Dickinsons your man but if its RD you need Levushunov and Silayev are solid choices to debate over.

I think silayev is also a LHD. I dont have access to watch KHL or CHL so I only know what i can read about these players which is biased through any given evaluator. But most things I’ve read have Levshunov and Silayev as potential number one guys and Dickinson as a potential 2. That is all if they hit their absolute ceilings. There are concerns about the amount of offense the two LHD can bring to the table in terms of separating themselves as a true #1, where as Levshunov’s game is very chaotic, but the sharks don’t see n to mind that based on their recent draft selections.
