Danault is going nowhere, PLDs slow start in LA has solidified the need of Danault well past Kopitar leaving.

No chance Los Angeles trades Phillip Danault. Moore -- Danault -- Arvidsson/Fiala have been our most effective and consistent line since January 1, 2023. That's right, 2023, not 2024. We won't be trading him because his acquisition is what Rob Blake points to every time somebody brings up Pierre-Luc DuBois.

Yeah, we can forget Danault. I think Roy could be a real possibility, Vegas gonna need to shed something.
Noted on Danault. Wasn't sure on their situation with Kopitar and PLD as other C options, then needing to pay Byfield and Turcotte this offseason.

Don't know what your offer for Berggren would be but it would have to be something worth while and it won't be "cheap" like you say
It wouldn't be "cheap" as in a late pick, but would be maybe a 2nd or combination of another younger asset heading to MoTown plus a pick. Just not 100% sure how Detroit values Berggren right now. Has the potential but they just don't seem to be utilizing him at all.

With Buffalo's increasing cap hits from Power and Dahlin I can't see us making that trade; especially without any retention.
Retention would drive any price up on this. Certainly could retain but it won't be 50% like I've seen others suggesting. Maybe 2 mil or so to make it a similar hit to was Samuelsson would be, but would need a pick or another asset to have to retain, or another player heading to the Blues to offset the retention (Krebs maybe?)
