Its not TOR media its not anything Woll's just not been good while Sammy has. Woll's hopefully got a bright future but he is not it

Woll was hung out to dry and has been the only reason why the Leafs had a chance in any of those games. SV% is misleading when the team gives up grade a chance after grade a chance.

The king of using small sample sizes to make your opinion seem correct. Sammy has had the same issues his whole career. Crazy athletic and great sometimes. But he always lets in bad goals from time to time and can see his confidence completely disappear. It's funny how his last 5 games mean everything he's done before, including being so bad, no one wanted him for free this season, is no longer considered but Woll's last 5 games means he's not worth starting ever.

Tonight the Leafs play the 2nd of a back to back vs a fresh team that is desperate to still make the playoffs. If TO does what they do best and just flub the game, you'll blame Woll if he allows 5 while being completely hung out to dry. But when Sammy plays a team like Montreal, he's a god.

Woll's not been good as of late and especially his recent starts have highlighted that he had his moments but he's lost the net to Sammy whose earned it. Woll's hopefully got a bright future but he's not it rn.

Sammy has been good and has made the saves needed to help the team win. He's athletic so what thats his playstyle and it helped them beat TBL last year. The team has more confidence in him and plays better around him he's on a heater

And if Woll allows the first shot of the game to go in its gonna become a troublesome pattern as it will be 4 of 5 games he's done that. Cant always blame the team in front for the goalies flubs and allowed beachballs to pass him. Who cares if its a b2b nothing's stopping him from making a save

Sammy's the game 1 starter, Woll at this point should not even be in the conversation of who starts game 1 anymore he's lost that stance with multiple poor starts. Can make ABC excuse but he's allowed to make saves to

Keefe starts Woll then its the biggest flub in NHL history next to Everson's decision to put Fleury in over Gustavsson game 2. Again hopefully Woll figures it out next season and has a solid future but rn he aint it

Will is better than Samsonov. Sammy is a time bomb, he's going to implode. Always has always will

Woll's not better than Sammy rn sorry. If he was he would not be pushed out for game 1 starter but his recent games have not given coaching staff, team, nor the fans confidence in him. He's been to shaky and rn is not the time for that

Woll's hopefully got a bright future but rn he aint it. We can use the excuses A-Z but allowing the first shot in 3 of your last 4 starts is a momentum killer and we dont want that in a series vs. BOS or FLA

Sammy also really aint a time bomb and if he was already went off at the start of the year and has rebounded nicely into the guy we knew and loved last year. Winning us games, making good saves, and keeping things stable

And its thanks to that he's nominated for the Masterton Trophy which is well deserved. He outdueled Vasi to win the Leafs a series something Campbell and Anderson could not and if all goes well will do it again but this time against Swayman or Bobrosky

Also Woll has a better save percentage on the season despite his play recently. And it's not close. So who is Sammy? What he's doing now? Or the guy that's barely an NHL player. Or when will he once again be barely an NHL player

Again if we look at the last 20 games Sammy's been the better goalie. Wolls been shaky and for playoffs being less than 2 weeks away not who we need in net rn.

Florida in the first round is going to be low scoring games and Sammy will let in some stinkers and when TO loses 2-1 with Sammy letting in a bad one. You and Keefe will both say the wrong things and Sammy will be given another game where he'll collapse

The NJ game for instance he was bad. He allowed the first shot in and couldnt stop a beachball and NJ had an XGA of 1.85 for the majority of that game.


Your basically wanting Sammy to lose us a series or game rather than route for him to win us a series or heck get us to a cup. Oh hes gonna let in a stinker oh hes gonna blow up and cost us rather than root for him lul. He's already done the impossible once and made one of the biggest turnarounds in the NHL
