LOL - not giving TWO top 10 picks for Zegras... you realize that Z was a top ten pick as well? We might end-up with TWO zegras-equivalent players by not trading...

Keep the assets, sign Zegras when he becomes a UFA or when he eventually goes the PLD route and is trade for cheap at 50% retained.

We are 3-4 years out before competing (aka times it takes for guys like Slaf, Hutson, Reinbacher to mature and simultaneously with the downfall of Toronto and Boston). We have time to develop a winning team.

Definitely a big no on the Zegras trade. One of the guys from this list is guaranteed to be at 6th OA:

Celebrini
Demidov
Catton
Lindstrom
Parekh
Levshunov

All of these guys are ELITE talent, with much higher potential than Zegras, and looking at the teams at the top of the draft, chances are almost guaranteed we get 1 of the 4 forwards.

For the Knight trade, its decent value, but since we have Fowler, and Monty will be better than Knight for at least 2 more years, we probably don't do it

I'm willing to overpay for Zegras he's a fine fit as 2nd line centre and the PP will improve.

Dach is a fine 2nd line center.

I rather use the 2025 first round pick to secure one of Demidov, Lindstrom or Celebrini... not Zegras. He's all flashes and no substance.

Martin St. Louis coaching him up should be a homerun.

I like Zegras but I'm not wild about overpaying for him. I'm also not wild about Montreal's chances of making the playoffs next year, so keep the picks and send Harris to someone in another deal.

Whoever the Habs get at 6th overall will be better than Zegras. So why tf are they adding another top 10 pick and Harris to it? If anything, the Ducks should be adding
