I have a big feeling that if the Sens do nothing significant during the offseason to upgrade the team, I think that Brady will officially resquest a trade.

    Honestly just build around :

    Stutzle
    Sanderson
    Greig
    Pinto
    2024 1st OTT
    2025 1st OTT
Young player from a Tkachuk trade
1sts from Boston and Chychrun trade
    Sogaard/Merilainen

This team would be in a lot better position with so much more cap to get the right vets

Sell 2-3 core pieces , build around the 23 and under guys. Free up cap space to load up around the right vets to teach the young kids. 2 more years of this I’m okay with and to fix the prospect pool

Rebuild for decade, lock them up with no leadership or depth, fail, sell...
Back to square 1 lol with only Stutzle Sanderson Greig Zub Pinto Bath, unhappy Brady, Chych, broken Norris and 9.5m sal Chabot.
At least we get to see these same posts over & over for another decade!!

Not true at all . If Brady Tkachuk is available at least 20+ teams would be in a bidding war . He has no trade clauses

And what's the price? Because if it's an already established under 23 star... Most teams don't have that and the teams that do, won't want to give that up for Tkachuk

that would get staios fired on the spot.

brady should get the type of return or more than what his brother got, the deffirence between the 2 two players is negated by Bradys 4 remaining years at a good cap hit and no trade protection

obviously the player would be younger than what CGY got.

Example would be CAR. OTT will DEMAND and not accept anything less than Jarvis, Morrow, CAR 1st and another A/B+ prospect. quality not quantity with Brady

Yup Jarvis as the main piece or someone of that level is exactly what we’d be looking for . Someone close in age to Sanderson and Stutzle

yup. OTT NEEDS to address 2 needs with a Brady trade, top 4 RHD and top 6 player all young, vets can be had cheap in trades from cap strapped teams or with UFA

I’d like to see something where the top 6 winger that Verbeek adds is Brady. Price is probably way too high, but he seems like a perfect compliment to what’s there right now.

Batherson : 25 y/o, 3 more years at 4.975 AAV. 153 pts in 190 games the last 3 seasons, 66 pts pace per 82 games. You won't get that type of production for that cap hit anywhere

Tkachuk : 24 y/o, 4 more years at 8.2 AAV, 92 goals, 202 pts in 222 games the last 3 seasons... 34 goals, 75 pts pace per 82 games. Plays a rare power forward game, intimidate the opposition, makes it hard for defense and goalies, can fight with almost everyone... Why trade an unicorn?

Giroux : 36 y/o, one more year at 6.5 AAV, 132 pts in 144 games the last 2 seasons with Ottawa... 75 pts pace per 82 games. Why would you trade a vet that this team has been vastly lacking of, a guy who wants to be home and has been giving up crazy value on his contract.

Norris : Hasn't played a lot since his injury troubles and not at the same level... Not that I am opposed to trade him but he is Tkachuk big buddy and doesn't have positive value right now. He might just be on LTIR for a while, no one is going to trade for him now.

Chabot vs Chychrun : my thought is that Chabot is the better player easily and should be kept over Chychrun. It has been very clear how much better the team is when Chabot is in the lineup vs not. That said, I don't think you can afford to trade both, unless you are getting at least another high end D-man.

Brännström : I don't see the point trading him, you're not going to get a lot of value back and if you trade Chychrun (or Chabot), then he becomes even more important. Can play both sides, even wing, isn't expensive, is still young, provides quality 2-way hockey and is an insurance policy for an injury in the Top-4

Exactly the guys 3 and 4 years left. You either have to go all in at this point just waste 2 years of value and term of theirs and just might as well move them and build properly
