Description

After that awful loss and the BMac press conference, sounds like they are going to try to do the same as last year with Sandin -- either directly or indirectly send out UFAs (and maybe guys with some extra term) for NHL ready young players, not picks -- but at forward. Here's my list of those kinds of guys, obviously some are more available/would probably take more to get than others. Everyone on this list has had at least some form of rumors or "name out there" or whatever from credible insiders at some point this year.

I would love to get Mittlesdadt in DC and he would probably be my #1 choice from this list, but whenever I try to think of a deal for him I can't imagine anything except a 3 team deal with a goalie or defenseman involved.

Lebrun shut down the Zegras rumors laying out (based on multiple inside sources) that ANA never called a GM about Zegras nor even brought up his name in a single trade. He’s not available.

So if WAS wanted him, the ask would start with Leonard. If he’s off the table that’s super understandable. But there’s no Zegras trade to be had

KJ isn't being sold cheaply or easily, and y'all don't have the kind of player we'd want in return (basically, the #3D shutdown blueliner equivalent of another Boone Jenner).
