-Chicago probably takes a 4th for Beau with 50% retention; I think if you're bringing him back in I'd put him on a line with guys he knows and hope that jolts him back to being a useful forward again.

-Fair value for Reilly, IMO, destination can be anywhere. You'd also have enough room to eat some of his deal if you're moving him (based on the potential retention in your other deals) so I'd do that and open his market up a little more.

-I would want a lower price on Duclair - I like him as a player but I think you're bringing him based on his potential and not his current production, and I'd want the price to reflect that.

-Ottawa passes easily here. I think there's some mild interest in a JGP reunion, but they would -need- full retenion; Aho & Wahlstrom probably have the same value as mid-round picks at this point in their career, and I'd argue that not including a single 1st round pick won't get you either Chychrun or Pinto, much less both.

Fair enough! Granted this is all a dream scenario with some tinkering, but I want the Isles to get younger and faster. Though Beau and Duclair are almost 30 - they make this team quicker and could be had on the cheap. Pinto just makes for a good story - he's a good, young player, but would be the local kid coming to play on the Island. I honestly didn't even realize how young Chychrun is. I keep reading that Lou is interested in Tarasenko and I can't wrap my head around why. Either way, it was fun palying Armchair GM!! LGI!!

With you on Tarasenko - he's a fine player but just not what the Isles should be going for. Duclair is a guy I've wanted on the Isles for a while, even if it's not a deadline deal I'd be interested in him being part of the lineup next season.
