Description
Tanev takes a discount to stay in VAN after being acquired at the 2024 TDL so don't give me $hit in the comment section for lowballing him. He's at the stage of his career where he just wants to win a Cup

Signing Reinhart long-term is a bad idea for the Canucks

You did low-ball the flames on the Tanev trade as their goal is to grab a first for him and they're going to get that

The AVS also pretty easily decline as does Bertuzzi most likely on that deal

Canucks shouldn’t sign Lindholm to that deal

Avs don’t take that. We should keep Garland anyways

Myers and Bertuzzi both get more money

What a low-ball trade offer for Tanev and VAN already lost him by insulting him in the 1st place and now you want to do it again by paying him 1/2 his value. Smooth

They have something like $25M in cap space this offseason and only have 1 dman signed until next season, very likely Reinhart has priced himself out of FLA unless they can move Bobrovsky.

No one is gonna pay a 1st for him, rumors are CGY would be happy with a 2nd and B prospect, here they get the 2nd, a 4th and a guy who's a quality dman who they can either flip or use to help push for the playoffs. As for the contract, I strongly believe that if Tanev is reacquired by VAN he'd extend with a discount to help the team win, he's made his money and now it's time to push for a ring. And this is a completely different management group bruh.

Myers will want to stay in VAN since his family lives close by, he made his money and will likely sign for cheap or the Canucks wouldn't be interested in bringing him back.

No one is paying a 1st for Tanev and it's been rumored that he's trying to force his way to VAN so CGY has very little leverage, if anything I thought this was an overpayment. Rumored return is a 2nd + B prospect, here they get a 2nd, 4th and Cole who could either be flipped or used to help push for the playoffs. As for Byram, he's taken a pretty serious step back this season, that combined with his injury issues and COL's oncoming Cap Crunch when Landeskog comes back means that COL will have to move money out and the most likely casualties are either Byram or Girard. As I said before, they choose to move Byram here bcuz he'd get a larger return, that trade is very comparable to the Filip Hronek trade and given that Hronek is better and wasn't on a team desperate to move money out I'd say this is a pretty fair deal. Finally Bertuzzi, his stats have been terrible this year, VAN is a team where he'll get opportunities in the Top 6 so he signs a 1 year "prove it" deal.

read the damn trade, it explicitly states that its a 3 team deal where Garland is sent somewhere else for a pick and that pick is also sent to COL for Byram.

Usually people actually make a complete three team trade so I missed that. Even then it's still an easy no. You're also making too much of the 'injury issues'.

Sure, a 2nd + Raty + Roster Player for Tanev UNRETAINED, which is pretty much the equivalent of a 1st

Tanev likely gets Traded to DAL and we’ll see where he re-signs in the off-season. He might give VAN discount, which would be $4-4.5mil/yr given other Teams would likely offer to pay him $5mil/yr otherwise. He won’t be accepting or taking anything close to $2.5mil/yr bruh
