We'll take that late second if you'll replace Berard with Braden Schneider. Otherwise, it'll be your 2024 first and a better RW prospect (not Perreault, of course) or RD prospect.

For Frankie wheels it’s got to be a first rder+. Probably Edstrom and one more piece which I’m not overly comfy doing, and I love Vatrano maybe more then anyone lol

Since the rumors are out there, I could see this deal happen if the rangers are willing to part with Schneider. IMO he’s a luxury because he won’t sniff the top 4 for at least 3 seasons, so I’m willing to use him for much more needed spot, ie-1RW

That works for us too since we need a RHD to step in now. We're 0-1 seasons out from Helleson at end of year, 2-3 seasons out for Warren/Luneau, and even if we go Leshunov in the draft, he's 2-4 years out. At end of season the only NHL level RHD we have under contract is Gudas.

If that were on the table I totally think Verbeek bites. Full 50% retention on Ilya no problem. To be honest, it feels a bit too good for ANA. Could probably drop the 1st to a 2nd (my Ducks fans in here may disagree though)

Yeah, he and Frankie and Pavel are about the only bright spots in a lost season. Carlsson and McTavish are developing on schedule and Terry is his usual underappreciated (by the rest of the hockey world) self.

It’s clear indication just how crazy we are with prospects. Berard hasn’t been called up one time out of about 40 call ups it seems like. Othmann played 3 games and because he didn’t do anything he’s not as good as Berard now..I have no idea the thought process 🤷🏻‍♂️
