What kind of game does Lauko play?

Good 4th liner - great speed, good on the forecheck, and brings a lot of energy to the bottom 6. Not a fighter, but will go to the dirty areas of the ice. He has shown some flashes of finishing/skill to his game. Potential NHL ceiling is probably a role as a 3rd liner.

Duhaime is not an upgrade over Lauko. So why bother. Lauko under team control has more value than Duhaime.

Grizz has no value to Preds. He’d be there just for cap so you’d have to pay Carrier value. 2nd/Brunet maybe.

Ironically enough, his 2 fights this year are both against MN and Duhaime is one of them.

Lauko took Dewar to the woodshed and then 4 days later had to answer to Duhaime, which didn't go as well.

Good role player though - I'd make this deal as MN.

I’d be OK with the Duhaime deal as an opportunity to get another veteran on the bottom line. It is kind of a blah deal. Personally, I’d rather see what it would take to secure Garnett Hathaway again if Philly were open.

I see Carrier included in deals to Boston. Not sure he offers that much of a differentiation between other right handed D options in the playoffs. Good player, but is he a great fit? Definitely would take a second rounder l

He’d be a significant upgrade over Shattenkirk on the third pairing, and is young enough where you could lock him up if you want and sure up your RD depth going forward. Makes a lot of sense to me.

He would absolutely be an upgrade and my guess is he’s too good to be a third pair D with free agency pending

He’s a good suggestion to acquire, but my assumption is we’d pick up a bigger player
