Detroit passes, Jonatan Berggren only gets moved in a package deal for Jakob Chychrun, Noah Hanifin or homeboy Matt Roy.

Emberson's got great underlying stats this year. I wouldn't be upset by this whatsoever.

Many Wings fans might not like it because he's not a "big" name, but oh well.

No one is giving you a 1st for Mario Ferraro. He's just not very good. There's no reasonable expectation that he meets the play that would justify that kind of cost elsewhere.

While I'll agree he definitely doesn't fit the description of "not very good", I still agree he's not worth a 1st rounder tbh. In that package with the other assets I think a 3rd is more realistic and maybe a 2nd if one of the two players are removed. Not a 1st though.

I think ferarro is worth a late first but more likely a second, it would definitely take a first for someone to get him because of how the sharks value him. Ferraro is definitely a shine in the right situation type player, which I wouldnt spend a first on either. The other pieces in this deal aren’t really consequential. Timmins and Abruzzese are both played NHL games type players.

I would disagree that the players are inconsequential. They're both young still, 24 and 25, and can be serviceable NHL players. Look at how Barabanov turned out and I'm sure lots of people would've viewed him the same way. Of course, the pick is still the biggest part of the return, but I think so many people just write off any other piece in a deal if they're not an immediately relevant NHLer lol

They are inconsequential to the sharks given our position and our prospect pool. We already have four dmen at Timmins level or better that will need to compete for ice time, and full bottom six as well.
