love that. i'd be worried if jimmy reported a reasonable trade, because then the bruins might be in trouble.

jimmy murphy has never been right in his entire career. it's why he works for a blog now.

With how much both Don Sweeney and Montgomery said that Poitras was part of their future after he had surgery, I have a REAL hard time seeing them trade him. Especially for a LD.

It's all 100% speculation until Don actually makes a move... What insider, or ACGM for that matter, had him trading for Bertuzzi and Orlov before he actually did? The Bruins front office is one of the tightest sealed in the league.

Jimmy isn’t creative. My guess is he did an offshot of this article

https://theathletic.com/5288500/2024/02/21/nhl-trade-deadline-noah-hanifin/?source=user_shared_article

Its behind a paywall, but it was Hanifin for Poitras, a 2nd, and a 3rd

Murphy or any hockey now websites are not credible sources.

I don't see the need for Hanifin nor do I see trading Poitras as a good move for Boston.

Of course because a 3rd line center is so much more valuable than a 1st pairing defenseman right? O.o

So we absolutely know that Poitras tops out as a 3C already?... 🙄

Meh, he'd be a 2nd pair guy in Boston, I just don't see LHD as a need for the Bruins.

Sure he tops out as McDavid+Lemieus+Messier all put together... In your dreams.

Fact is he doesn't project as a 2nd line center anywhere.

I love hyperbole. This is a balance of risk for all sides

Calgary and any team that acquires Hanifin values him as top line defenseman for 5 months PLUS their probability of signing him using the Expected Value at his new salary over the life of his contract to value that probability

Under no circumstances do I believe a late first in a weak draft, an OHL D who has outperformed his draft slot to date, another defenseman who has underperformed, and a disappointing winger locked into what is perceived as a negative salary is worth Elias Lindholm.

When I add probably of signing and Expected Value of next contract, it makes more sense.

Oh, so projections are absolute fact and won't possibly be wrong, good to know.

We could absolutely use Hanifin. The question is what’s worth more

Hanifin
or
the cost to secure Hanifin plus whom we bring in with the money used to extend him

Outside of a few, I view trade rumors as click bait in general. I don’t believe Hockey Now or the Athletic have any credible rumor people. Outside of Elliot, there are a few local guys I think are dialed in. That’s it.

Try using actual logic instead of strawman logical fallacies.

What's next for you? Appeal to authority maybe? Quoting some biased schill claiming Poitras is a sure thing to be a bonafide 1st line center in no time. One can find biased schills claiming all kinds of ridiculous things about pretty much any player/prospect.

You seem angry and aren't using any logic, not worth debating with, cheers.
