The Sens do it in a heart beat because the value is stupid in their favor (COL never does it), Girard gets ragged on CF for because of his height, but the dude is a legit top 4 guy that plays in all situations. Go back last night and watch him on the PK at the end, that was some beyond stud work. But tell me again how the Sens wouldn’t trade a run of the mill goalie and 2nd for a 25yr old top 4 dman, who by the way is a top 4 dman on arguably the best d-corp in the league.

If the Sens make that trade, they would then have to trade Girard and find another goalie. If you think you can make a significant enough profit do it but that also doesn't really happen this way in the NHL. Teams trade from a position of strength to fill a position of need or make a simple "hockey trade"
