Mtl fans don't understand that I meant wrap them up in a blanket and drop them off my roof. 😅

MTL fans aren't loved but, far from the laughing stocks of the league. Best history + they've had a recent cup run, it's a lot worse and much more sad for other teams and the Fans that think their good and yet fail all the time

I'm pretty sure Kent Hughes turned down this exact offer from Fitz, he knew he could get better returns for these players individually.

It's one thing to say the "one fan" who posts a trade he'd like to see on a site that is for fun discussion, is a bad trade for trade partner.
It's another thing to say that the entire "fanbase is the laughing stock of the league" based on one for fun trade.
Shows you disrespect as the comment maker and the lack of knowledge in general as a hockey fan! But thanks for that.
As a Habs fan, NJ doesn't do this trade since it's a terrible offer.

If i meant this one fan I'd have said that. The pure volume of trades where MTL gives up dime a dozen bottom 6ers for top line producers or premium draft assets/prospects for years indicts the entirety of your fanbase as it far exceeds the number of ridiculously detached from reality trades any other fanbase produces. It's likely a product of your local media telling you trades and setting expectations wayyyyy too high but unless it gets called out for the insanity that it is, it only gets worse.

So you openly admit that it is not only this one post but an entire fan base that thinks like this right after I state that the offer is ridiculous for NJ and they definitely don't do it proving it's not the entire fanbase!
Most of the trades posted are one sided for the team the poster cheers for, no harm, no fowl. You could always look the other way or call out the poster.
The reason you see trades of this nature is due to the fact that so called know it all hockey fans call out other fans for what they say are impossible trades. IE: "There is no way the Habs get a 1st round pick for Monahan"...... Like you they are wrong missing the big picture as in essence they received 2 x 1st round picks for Monahan. The proof gets out soon enough.
Anyhow like I stated before, this trade doesn't happen as a Habs fan speaking for the Habs fanbase, NJ rejects it.
