I'd only do something like this with an extension in place. all that for a rental player seems not worth it

Something along those lines

How about Holloway/Broberg and you send some cap back - one of Ceci/Kulak/Foeggle?

100%, Holland has already said that he won't commit considerable assets to a trade for a player who will only be a rental, Only way this trade happens is if the Oilers are confident that they can get one done in the offseason or if he comes with one

Holloway is a non starter and I think all oil fans will agree with me on that one, so would a package of Broberg, lavoie , Foegele and a 1st be good or is that to much?

I’d probably lose interest without Holloway. Only piece of any interest really is the 1st. The other pieces would just be flipped. I’d probably pass and just try to re-sign Debrusk.

I think this could work as currently constructed, but don't really see the need to make this move unless its part of a 3-way trade to add a bigger piece for Boston.

Foegele is a nice depth piece. I don't see the fit for Broberg with the Bruins given Lohrei's development, but this could potentially be a good three-way trade to send Broberg, EDM's 1st, and a Boston pick to CGY for Hanifin if they want to add him in season.

would be a interesting move given Bostons interest in Hanifin, would make it easier to swallow when you are getting Hanifin and only losing Debrusk and maybe a 2nd or 3rd

Why? Foegele is on pace for a career year, Debrusk isn't having any better a season then Foegele is so why waste the assets.

That was my thought, been playing with this for awhile now. Holloway/Broberg/Ceci for Debrusk/Zboril flip Broberg/Ceci/ with a 1st for Noah.

Or 3 way replace Holloway with 1st and that goes to Flames

Advanced stats say otherwise and it’s not particularly close, but I think the price being discussed is way out of market . Boston keeps DeBrusk and tries to sign him

Agreed - Debrusk is a much better player than Foegele and has a higher ceiling. I view Foegele as a better version of Heinen, could be a valuable depth piece. It leaves a hole in the Bruins top-6, but could also give Lysell a shot at taking an NHL job.
