You'd probably be better off with any of the free agent goalies. Lindgren outside of november has been below average in the AHL and NHL his entire career.

The good ones aren't signing here unless they give them term, which would be nuts. Lindgren at his worst the past 2 years is still markedly better than anything the Sabres have gotten out of comrie and would only cost them 1.1 mil on the cap for 1 year. 2nd round pick is probably high but the Sabres have made like 30 extra draft selections over the past decade. Maybe they can get him for a 3rd idk.

You're also better off with Levi. He's been better than Lindgren since november.

Lindgren had a .922 sv% in december. His January was rough. Levi wasnt much better. Had a .863 in December. A .900 in January where finished the month with like 5 straight stinkers. He's clearly not ready for the AHL. So a stop gap isnt the worst idea.

I dont care if its specifically lindgren, but they are definitely going to overpay to add someone for 1 year. Lindgren is just an educated guess based on his salary and lack of no trade clause.
