To be fair, even Pierre Lacroix tried to keep his big free agent acquisitions. If Theo didn't miss game 5 of the Western Conference Final bc he was on a cocaine bender, the Avs probably would have re-signed him in the offseason.

Fleury was a very good player.

It's unfortunate his NHL career went off the rails after he left Calgary.

His Rangers career was an embarrassment.

He did quite well for a guy who had his demons.

We ended up learning why that was the case. ☹️
