You think the last center on the market is going to go for loose change after the other two both brought firsts?

Oskar Steen turns 26 the day after the trade deadline and has a completely undistinguished resume of 8 points in 56 games over the 5 seasons since he came over from Europe two years after being drafted in the 6th round. (For comparison, Ducks fourth-liner Brett Leason has 12 points in 42 games this season and 32-year-old fourth-liner Sam Carrick has 10 points in 50 games this season.) He has zero trade value and we wouldn't pick him up off waivers. Jakob Zboril turns 27 before the trade deadline and is a first-round bust -- fortunately, from my point of view, because he was taken 13th overall with the pick acquired from the Kings in one of Dean Lombardi's biggest mistakes. As a LhD, he's entirely redundant to a team that has Cam Fowler, Jackson LaCombe, Pavel Mintyukov, Olen Zellweger and others on that side so again, we wouldn't pick him up off waivers. The over-the-horizon third and future seventh are what we would charge you for Benoit-Olivier Groulx.

The idea that this package would get you a guy who would be fourth on your team among forwards in scoring and your first center off the bench on the penalty kill is troll-level.

In what world is Grizz worth more than Henrique with retention?

Flames trade is overpay.

Note to Bruins fans. We aren’t getting a 2nd for Grz. The pick we’d get isn’t worth trading him for unless you are acquiring something of value in the salary slot. Think about the Beauvellier deal.

I know I’m not alone when I cringe when I see Bruins fans suggesting this deal.

Thank you for perfectly encapsulating why I am done with Oskar Steen. All he's ever been is a guy that makes you say "I like him, he's got hustle" and then you forget he exists and his hustle doesnt actually contribute anything. Trade him, send him to Providence, lose him to waivers, I don't care.
