But i do think the Sabres could be interested in Marino if he was available

I think it really depends on Casey’s development. And what else we get. We’d need to find other guys to improve our PK.

With McLeod, gravy, Yegor, and Marino all heading out in the span of 2 years our PK would be even more decimated.

Jersey says no to the first trade, that creates a hole in their top4 when they’re trying to win this year
And it’s a pretty big Underpay for Marino

Sabres say no to the 2nd one, Allen is not good & we’d be looking for something better imo
That’s also a HUGE overpay for him, would give either of those pieces- maybe a 5th, but ONLY if we couldn’t find a better option

I could see him being available after next season. Would be 2 years left on his deal at 4.4 mill and at that point he’d be I believe 28 years old.

I think NJD taps out at this price for Allen. That 4 mill this year means we likely eat bonus money and then that 4 mill+2.5 mill in rookie bonuses is ugly on Allen next year
