Really... I don't think it's a sure thing they accept it even with the picks taken out.

I feel like people don't understand how good Brandon Carlo is at hockey.

The reason Boston has been so successful over the last two decades is that they've stuck to their identity.

This move is not one they would consider.

Zegras is fun to watch but.....he's below average in draws and still has a way to go before he's not a lability in his own end. Not a guy I'm willing to trade Carlo for.

I’d rather resign Rico than sign Bert

You know, after we trade him to a contender at the deadline for a 1st wink

Why would the accept it? They already have a bunch of LHD, Lysell isn't an elite prospect and both picks are late.

You're literally not offering them a single thing they would want

literally? is that literally the case? anaheim isn't getting better. if you think anaheim is keeping zegras at all costs, thats fair, but this offer is above and beyond.

also, Carlo is a top four RD. Not sure if you thought he shoots left or something, but he's top pair all day for anaheim.

Great, he's a player they don't need or want with nothing else coming back to them. If you think Carlo gets you a 22 year old 60 point center then I don't know what to tell you lol

was there not a first, second, and the teams top prospect also in the deal? if i misread it, i don't know what to tell you lol.

zegras is a flawed 60 point center.
carlo is one of the top shut down d men in the league with a fantastic contract. Given that Zegras is a one trick pony (offense), and that trick is struggling mightily right now (tied for 386th in points per game in the NHL), I think a significant argument could be made that Carlo is the more valuable trade asset. four years older, but that kind of lines up in terms of prime years for a d man and a forward. At the very least, he certainly has the better contract.

You're telling me that a 1st, 2nd, and a top prospect doesn't make up the difference, if there is one? I don't know what to tell you lol.

oh, and the 27th ranked team in goals allowed per game with an absolute dumpster fire on their right side doesn't need one of the best shut down right shot D in the league? what planet are you on pal?

So it's a one dimensional dman, a B prospect, a late first and a late second. Like I said, nothing elite and nothing Anaheim would actually want. It's also an offer teams beat.

It apparently hurts your feelings to find out that a career high 19 point dman isn't worth a 65 point player that's 5 years younger than him and that your not even top 100 prospect and picks that both have less than 50% chance of being NHL players don't make up the difference. Sorry to break that news to you, even though it's pretty basic logic

it's double what any team would offer. nothing elite? well guess what - zegras isn't elite either.

It just seems like you haven't had a look at any trades that have actually taken place in the NHL over the last few decades, and don't have any understanding of value, both on the ice and in terms of trade. not sure what league you're watching, but your logic is ridiculously flawed due to a lack of absorbing information about the NHL, and hockey in general.

Buddy just because Boston traded Thornton for scraps doesn't mean Anaheim is gonna send you a player to be your 1C for scraps lol

Eichle trade, more complete player but less points in his first couple years than Zegras but definitely a long the value that Anaheim would be looking for

The Cutter Gauthie for Drysdale that just happened, both are more valuable than this package and I don't think either are as valuable as Zegras

That trade above would have gotten a Bo Horvat if Boston wanted though

few things here. yikes, what a weird post.
so, jack eichel - of course miles better than zegras. .95 points per game at the time of the trade vs zegras and his .73. of course eichel worlds better in all other elements of the game. apples to oranges. oh, and the trade for eichel looked pretty similar to this one. 1st, 2nd, teams top prospect, and an NHL roster player. I would certainly place more value on a right shot D, a premium position in the NHL vs a winger that was still finding his way in the league at the time. Krebs probably thought of better than lysell, but not miles apart. bad comp.
Cutter? seriously?

Bo Horvat was a guy that had 31 goals in 49 games when he was traded, and got significantly less than this offer here. what are you doing?

Laying the truth down to a guy who apparently believes Carlo to be a top line defender instead of the #3 that he is and who also thinks Lysell is a top prospect, when did that happen? He's Bostons best prospect but not even a top 100 prospect league wide

first off, its pair, not line. red flag.

secondly, he certainly is - he just happens to have charlie mcavoy in front of him.

prospect lists are subjective. What exactly about lysell don't you like, aside from some bleacher report ranking you read?

Carlo is a perfectly fine shut down dman, but you don't trade a potentially ppg player that's 5 years younger for a player like that.

Lysell is an undersized winger who isn't even a ppg forward in the AHL, can probably only be useful as a top 6 winger which Anaheim isn't gonna need him for because they have guy his age or younger who are already better than him.

Carlo is a piece Anaheim would like to have but he isn't elite and there's no other elite piece in this package. Carlo would have to be paired with a top prospect that also fills a role Anaheim needs.

Believe me when I say I'm not the biggest fan of Zegras but I get it when Anaheim fans say they would only accept Slafkovsky and Reinbacher for him if the Habs traded for him. It's a Ludacris price but 65 point centers who have barely entered their prime require multiple elite pieces to trade for

why do you keep saying elite? zegras isn't elite. he's a specialist. a good team gives him boatloads of PP time but shelters the crap out of him at even strength. i think calling him a legit top six center for a good team is a huge stretch. you act like a 65 point pace is some extreme thing.
