The article timing for the EP comment was unfortunate but I am 99.9% sure he'll re-sign with VAN.

Canucks pass on both of those deals. Cozens has been very underwhelming this year, need a better headline piece than him. I’d also hope for a better prospect than Ostlund if possible

Kuzmenko for Smith straight up is probably fair but I’d rather have Kuzmenko still. No need to add a good prospect

Penguins decline.
Reilly Smith is a keeper in Pittsburgh.
Petey is a keeper and he’s not leaving Vancouver.

I would hope that Petey re-ups in Vancouver and his agent doesn't play games, but you know that Vancouver has to have a plan B.

Cozens is the real deal, he's just struggling along with pretty much every Buffalo Sabres player this year, although I did consider swapping Tage Thompson instead and dropping the 1st. Ostlund projects to be a top 6 player, maybe a #2 Centre as he's also a pretty good two way player. He was on my radar because of his chemistry with Lekkerimaki at the World Juniors this year.

Pittsburgh wouldn't swap Reilly for Kuzy even up I don't think.

I have an honest question for you, is there any trades that Van would be interested in?

I would see Vancouver trade Podz, a first round 2024 and a second round 2025 pick to Calgary for Elias Lindholm (Calgary retained 50%).
That’s a potential trade that I can see Vancouver doing.

I think the only prospect we have that's better than ostlund is kulich. I think savoie and rosen are both with ostlund.

Reilly Smith is anything but a keeper in Pittsburgh. Could easily see him being traded for a different similarly struggling top 6 wing.

I could see him getting traded to a team in the eastern conference that’s in a playoff position.
