That offer does not completely address the Sabres needs.
Take out Robertson and Minten and replace them with Liljegren and Niemelä.

I'd trade mittelstadt well before cozens. But even then the trade would have to make sense. It can't be a pile of stuff, even if that stuff is halfway decent futures. I have no confidence in our gm to execute some kind of A plus B move, where he trades for futures and THEN trades those futures for help we need now.

Especially if you were already getting Lijegren, I get RHD are tough to get but getting two that are pretty similar types seems counterproductive, not sure how much better they'd be then Jokiharju either. These smallish puck moving dmen are pretty much a dime a dozen now.

The Sabres are or should be reaching the end of the rebuild.
Prospects and picks are still not NHL certain they need NHL players NOW, that is why Liljegren replaced Robertson.
Buffalo needs RHD now.
You made me realize the Sabres can have both.
Drop the first, add Minton, he and Niemelä are close to NHL ready while a late 2024 first most likely would not play in the NHL until 2026.
For that return the Leafs can have Cozens.
