Vancouver one is realistic. Ottawa could probably get more for chychrun and tarasenko and use those assets to send to Pitt and still have some leftover

So Seattle would be trading a middle 6 guy (with flashes of top 6), a really good prospect and a trade down by 20ish spots for one if the best forwards in the NHL.

Now, I'm not saying Seattle would or should do this, but the value is fair.

I agree with the non-playoff team thing but the evaluation for one of the best players in the NHL is going to be high. Even as a rental.

The closest comp I can see for a rental in season trade is Hossa. 40+ goal scorer on the block in his prime. The Pens traded 2 NHL middle 6 guys, a 1st, and their best prospect (who was ranked in the 30s at the time).

Then the Guentzels of the game so, if Guentzels were 26/27 maybe but he's 29 an UFA at seasons end doesn't get that return
