I think you did well on your trades. I think all teams would definiteky consider that. If Winnipeg included a RD instead of a LD in that trade it gets done for sure.

No we don’t consider that. Two likely extremely late 1sts, a 3rd , bottom 6 player, an always injured forward prospect and an overpaid 3rd pair D

Hence why UI said they nbeeded to add a RD defenseman,. Lucuis is a bonofide top line winger, and the 2024 pick will be low but the 2025 pick will likely be middle of the pack. The Scmidt aspect would have to be changed as Ottawa doesn't take that salary on. But a solid RD guy like say Pionk?

Neil Pionk.... If I was Ottawa I'd take that package.

It’s too much quantity . If they move both those guys, expect one of Barlow, McGroarty or Lambert to be in the deal

No I can't see that, Lucius is acknowledged as a can't miss top line winger. 2 1st rounders a 3rd rounder, a top 4 blueliner..... For Giroux who will be 37 and Chychrun who has 1 year left on his deal? Factor in thatWinnipeg is also taking on the majority of the money as Ottawa isn't retaining any? I think I was mentioned would be a fair trade.

Caps would most likely say no. Gustafsson isn't anything special and if Dowd is moved I imagine it'll be for picks, so that Washington can turn around and move them to compete next year since that seems to fit with MacLellan's vision. Teams are reportedly going to be "lined out the door" for Dowd so Winnipeg will have to make a more enticing offer for Washington to consider.

Dowd would be a pretty noticeable upgrade on Gustafsson for Winnipeg's bottom 6.

Ok.. I look him up… you’re right.. Dowd would definitely be an upgrade on the bottom 6, but why would WSH move him?
He's signed for another year and is carrying their 4th line.
Plus, with all the bottom 6 Cs we already have, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense… I see Namestnikov as our 4C once we get a proper 2C. He’s played great for us so far and our cap can be used other places to shore up holes, 2C and RHD, and to increase depth for the playoffs…again RHD

Lucius is projecting to be top 6, (most likely 2nd line), not can’t miss
