I think this is pretty close to fair value and if Canucks can make this happen they absolutely should. Despite suffering some regression, a sophomore slump and being a bad fit for the team system, Kuzmenko is still viewed across the league as a highly talented offensive winger who has already down in his rookie year what his ceiling can be. Even as a 25-30 goal scorer he has value at his current cap hit and contract term. Calgary interest would make sense given how quickly they believe they can turn things around with a wave of NHL ready prospects coming in to compliment Backlund, Kadri, Weegar etc. With the way Markstrom is playing they could be competitive as early as next season. For the retention you might have to add another piece like a B prospect who is close to NHL ready like McDonough. The Anaheim deal looks fair. Klimovich has developed as a true power forward who projects as an effective bottom six winger. Might need to add another piece for the retention like a 3rd. I like these deals.
